Each year we successfully help  more than:

* 200 very needy families have a safe home

* 500 very low income persons learn to manage a basic needs budget and work on steps to achieve housing stability

Our Services:

·           Prevent Loss of Housing with financial management assistance so at-risk households can 

Ø  Free up cash to meet monthly housing costs and basic family expenses

Ø  Learn management skills & negotiate payment plans to prevent foreclosure or eviction

·       Secure rental housing and/or prevent the loss of housing, with the tools of 

Ø  Household Needs Assessment and Goal Setting

Ø  Budget Counseling with housing affordability & family self-sufficiency plans

Ø  Tenant Education on rights and responsibilities & Landlord Negotiations

Ø  Housing Assistance Fund to qualify applicants for security deposit / rent assistance

·         Help homeless and those at-risk to meet immediate basic needs, by

Ø  Connecting to community resources with strategies to get the most effective help

Ø  Connecting donors with individuals-in-need, e.g. Personal Kits and Furnishings

Ø  Helping obtain essential documents, e.g. birth certificate, picture ID

Ø  Providing “Steps to Success”:  coaching, family self-sufficiency workshops

Ø  Managing a special needs fund for basic needs, e.g. work boots

·          Help make Housing Safe by

Ø  Inspecting housing for code violations, lead paint and other health hazards

Ø  Providing education & resources for parents to protect children from in-home hazards
