When Mark Okrant isn’t writing his NH Travel Guru column for InDepthNH.org, he is New England’s tourism mystery author.
Professor emeritus of tourism management, he retired after decades as a Plymouth State University professor and coordinator of tourism research for the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development.
During retirement, Mark continues to write his Kary Turnell Mysteries. His newest is Death By Lobster.
As dead bodies are beginning to pepper the seaside landscape of Ogunquit, Maine, Kary Turnell–the man in the fedora–is on the job. Each of Mark’s mysteries is set in a historic resort property or community. Death By Lobster is number seven (5 books and 2 short stories) in the series.
Mark’s books are available at Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord, most traditional bookstores throughout NH, plus at nhbooksellers.com. Several book and gift shops in Maine will be carrying Death By Lobster. Additionally, he’s available to speak at libraries and historic associations. Thank you.
