NH Travel Guru offers concise, informative insight into New Hampshire’s travel and tourism industry as a business while showcasing the people and places you want to know about. This guy’s really been around. And he’s funny, too.
Okrant has earned his reputation as a travel and tourism guru. As a professor emeritus at Plymouth State University, he applied his élan and experience as a tourism researcher and educator for four decades—in New Hampshire, Maine, South Dakota, Alaska, Canada, Romania, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
His experience includes coordinating tourism research for the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development for 26 years. He is a past president of the prestigious Travel and Tourism Research Association.
The NH Travel Guru is part of InDepthNH.org’s nonprofit mission to give voice to overlooked people, places and ideas.
“I’m very happy Mark Okrant is bringing his experience in the business of travel and tourism to InDepthNH.org,” said executive editor Nancy West. “The industry is very important to New Hampshire’s economy and Mark really knows how to inform and entertain in the NH Travel Guru.”
