Okay readers, you are in for a fun time with The Hidden – Krewe of Hunters by Heather Graham.  If you like to think that ghosts have an afterlife or that they can be part of the day-to-day life of the people who are still alive, this is the book for you.  It is a good read, fast and furious and interesting as all get out.

It is about a lovely curator of a small privately owned wild west kind of museum.  The owner does not know that she is a descendant of the owner of the ranch in Colorado just as he is a descendant.  The book is about the first owner and the man who bought the ranch from him back in 1870.  It seems that Nathan Kendall and his wife only had one son but that son had many children and they in turn had many grandchildren.

Everyone is new to each other but why do they all happen to end up in Colorado?  Who is murdering these descendants?   You are right.  This is an old-fashioned mystery that will keep you engaged and astonish you between the author’s insights and historical references.

The story begins in 1870 and ends today.   You will learn all about what happened after the Civil War, PTSD of the time, greed, ranches, gold miners and ghosts.  I recommend this book heartily.  It is a really good change of pace kind of thriller.  The characters are interesting with stories of their own and the ghosts are nice, if not loveable.  Take your time and enjoy this thriller.

There is a love story and a tale of friends and friendship.  What is a happy ending?  They come in all shapes and sizes and colors.  Take a chance for a fun read.  A library card is all you need to get hold of this gem and it is free.
