PORTSMOUTH—The Seacoast Board of REALTORS will host a U.S. Senate Forum Breakfast Meeting on Oct. 24 at the Atlantic Grill in Rye.

Incumbent U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R) and challenger Gov. Maggie Hassan (D) have agreed to participate.

Sen. Ayotte, a former state Attorney General, seeks re-election to a second term in Washington. Gov. Hassan is finishing a second term in the Corner Office. She is a former three-term state senator from District 23.

Moderator Roger Wood has been a veteran freelance reporter for NHPR and a former newsman with WOKQ.  Wood is currently the associate publisher of InDepthNH.org, a nonprofit multimedia Internet-based website published by the New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism. He also produces podcasts for the site, which was founded by veteran investigative reporter Nancy West.

Under the forum format, the candidates will not share the stage. Instead, each will have 25 minutes to answer questions submitted through Roger Wood. The breakfast meeting begins at 8 a.m. with the Forum starting at 8:45. Pre-registration is strongly suggested as seating is limited.
