Eversource, New Hampshire’s largest electric company, has filed its application for a new 115-kilovolt transmission line to run from Madbury to Portsmouth.
The 13-mile line, if ultimately approved by the state Site Evaluation Committee, would run overhead, undergound and underwater. The project still needs a certificate of site and facility.
Roger Wood spoke to Martin Murray of Eversource about the process, a separate project from the Northern Pass proposed hydroelectric line from Quebec.
